A Guide to Grooming for Busy Moms Part 1

As human beings we are moved not only by primary impulses like flee-or-fight, eat, reproduce etc but also by secondary – like paying attention to beauty. Unfortunately, people get used to beauty fairly quickly and take it for granted when someone looks beautiful or at least neat and well groomed. Ugliness, however – even in small doses – never goes unnoticed. We never miss a hanging tread from a skirt or a smudged custom packaging private label magic lashes .

So…

Mcors  If you have a kid (or two), work long hours (like I do) then this guide is for custom packaging private label magic lashes .

I forgot to mention the always groomed younger colleague that never has a dark circle underneath her eyes or misplaced eyelash. I hate her!

Well, not really, but she makes me green. I admit it. And I always wondered how she managed it until I realized that it is her style (not mine) that I tried to copy.

What do I mean?

The above mentioned female colleague probably does not have two kids and is not expected to cook a full course dinner after work and before husband comes home. On the contrary – she is probably going to the gym for an hour (if not the beautician), taking a shower and ordering a low calorie take-away dinner… ”No greasy dressing for the salad, thanks”.

In retrospect, if you want to look your best on the outside, the place to start is looking at you; not around. Do not copy – trying to outsmart somebody in her own field of expertise is never smart.

Example. If the same female colleague wears stilettos at work and your legs are hurting after an hour in the same type of stiletto – do not wear the same height. Go lower, not flat but lower. Your legs will not hurt after an hour, your smile will still be in place after more than an hour and your self esteem will not be plummeting exponentially after the lunch break.

The simplest way to look your best is to follow religiously the mantra ”Neat and tidy”.

You have your morning routine anyway. You wash and you moisturize and possibly make up for the day – every day. Therefore, there will be no new (year) resolutions, or extra time, or extra effort to keep doing the same things in a better custom packaging private label magic lashes .

Face is the part of our bodies that is mostly exposed so we start with it. Next we move to few tips and tricks how to make our hands looking pretty and young in a non – lengthy non-time consuming ways. Finally, we will go to the bottom of the problems and have a good look at those cracked heels.

Just before I start digging in the details I wanted to mention the reason I am publishing this article NOT in my blog. Its topic is not directly related to the blog. It is dedicated to the ”know how” of the use of cosmetics offered on the market in the fastest possible way with the utmost possible benefit for YOU.

Face

Since the face is the first thing that people look at, it makes sense to clean it as thorough as possible. Non irritating soaps (or even baby soap) are best for washing. If the skin is prone to acne or irritable, some mild anti-bacterial soap will do.

Baby products are best – even better than foaming cleansers for sensitive skin – since they are formulated with the baby skin in mind. Finding a soap-free AND fragrance-free AND parabens – free formulation to wash is easier in the baby/children section of the local pharmacy than finding soap-free AND fragrance-free AND parabens – free in the cosmetics custom packaging private label magic lashes .

Moisturize while the skin is still slightly wet. This is probably contrary of what you have been told by the make up artist (if you ever have booked a professional to do your make up). The advantage is that your moisturizer will spread out evenly over the skin surface.

Most moisturizing creams are oil-in-water (O/W) emulsions and this makes them water friendly. O/W emulsions is simply oil droplets dispersed into continuous water phase. Bear in mind that heavier feeling water-in-oil formulations will not spread on the skin when the skin is wet – the cream will slide over the wet surface. So simply wait for the skin to dry out.

There is no need for the moisturizer to have a SPF if there will be foundation with SPF on top and vise versa.

When choosing a foundation for your make up, please, do try matching the complexion of your face. Especially if aiming for the natural look. Too dark or too light looks painted.

An informed woman will also look at the recommendation on the packing. Something like ”For mixed skin types” or ”For oily skin”. Why is this important? For example the sebum (the secretion of the skin that naturally spreads over the epidermis) can mix up with the foundation and can destroy the flawless look of the face in matter of half an hour traveling to work. Not to mention that it may block the pores and lead to black spots.

I would suggest an alternative to the commonly used foundation – these are so called tinted creams. Tinted creams contain the same types of iron oxide pigments that are incorporated into foundations AND, in the same time, moisturizing and skin conditioning ingredients. They are extremely suitable if you want to achieve translucent, not painted, look on the face. The trick is to take your moisturizer or day cream with you in the shop and mix it with a sample from the tinted cream tester. Spread the mixture on a vein (on the inner side of the hand just above the wrist) and have a good look how it appears under intense light. Best if the light is natural day light, but you will need to walk to a window.

If you like the appearance of the covered spot, then this is the right tinted cream for you.

Tinted creams (or lotions) are more rare on the market so be prepare to walk more. What a pleasant walk though – around the cosmetics counters of every mall!

Never go to bed with made up face. I can honestly say that I do not remember to ever have gone to bed with made up face. It is no good for the skin and it is no good for the sheets. I like my bed linen crispy white.

Night creams can be used a bit as a mask. How come?

Just make sure you have spread a thicker layer on the face and leave it for about 10 minutes. Then blot the excess away with Kleenex. Do not rub, wash etc. The purpose of the exercise is to leave a thin layer of the cream covering the face from where the actives of the formulation can penetrate the skin. The film also plays a second role – blocks the moisture and active ingredients into the custom packaging private label magic lashes .

The next morning (before you rub you face) take a good look in the mirror. If you have shiny spots, e.g. chin and nose and forehead, together with dry spots, e.g. cheeks, this night cream was not good for you. The skin of the face should look and feel the same way all the way through.
